Dr. Miaolei Shao, from Renewable Energy Modeling, LLC, participated in the 2023 PSCAD User Group Meeting in Boston MA from August 17 to 18, where Miaolei gave his presentation – Real World Example of Large-Scale Power System Reduction for EMT Analysis using PRSIM. He shared the experience of converting a real–world large-scale power system (~26,000 bus) into a smaller EMT system (less than 100 bus) with an accurate representation of the large system characteristics.
